Gordon Brisker

Gordon Brisker was an American jazz tenor saxophonist who worked with Al Belletto, Bill Berry, and Woody Herman before moving to New York City, where he played with Louie Bellson and Gerry Mulligan. When he moved to Los Angeles, he worked extensively as a studio musician and arranged for Herb Pomeroy. He recorded extensively with Anita O'Day and Bobby Shew among others, and recorded several albums under his own name. In the 1990s he moved to Australia and taught at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He died in 2004.
